We are looking for a well presented, enthusiastic individual to work in our busy Parts & Accessories department. We sell genuine parts and accessories from Suzuki and Yamaha plus many aftermarket motorcycle brands.
This is a very varied day to day role involving many different disciplines including:
Placing and receiving orders for retail customers as well as supplying Streetbike’s own motorcycle sales and workshop departments.
Dealing with enquiries face to face, on the phone and, increasingly, online.
Administration of the department including: stock control, booking in deliveries, picking orders and carrying out stock checks.
You will also be required to handle cash and card transactions. The ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks is essential.
A 40hr week working 5 days out of 7 including weekends. You will be part of a team and must be willing to work within a rota system with colleagues to allow cover for a 7-day operation.
We employ for attitude. You bring a positive attitude and we will train the skills and product knowledge. Previous experience of working in bike parts environment is an advantage but not essential. However, MOTORCYLE PARTS KNOWLEDGE IS ESSENTIAL. You’ve got to be in to the Biking scene.
Good time keeping, pride in your work, pride in yourself and a “can do” attitude is imperative.
You’ll be expected to work towards targets with an enthusiastic approach, delivering high levels of sales and first-class customer service. Skills in sales and up-selling will serve you well in this position and can increase your earnings greatly, we will provide product specific training. This is done both in the UK and, occasionally, abroad. You will need to be able to travel and have a valid passport.
You must be computer literate in the use of Microsoft Office and have good administration skills including online. You must be able to use the internet. You will need exceptional communication skills both with work colleagues and customers, face to face, over the phone and via e-mail. You will need to be able to think on your feet and make decisions quickly, confidently and be helpful and able to work well in a team at all times.
A working knowledge of the Catalyst Platinum Dealer management system is a distinct advantage.
Experience of using suppliers Parts Catalogues and online EPC’s
A motorcycle licence is desired and we would, as a preference, like you to commute on your own motorcycle. We endeavour to employ people who commute on motorcycles because (a) We’re a motorcycle dealer and (b) We want to maximize car parking spaces for customers.
Pay and Benefits.
Competitive basic salary DEPENDANT ON PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE.
After initial training, and a successful 3-month review, guaranteed monthly commissions and “on target” bonuses are added to the basic salary. In addition to this, the new employee will get:
