What we say…

The original Zero S took to the streets in 2009 as the first of its kind in the motorcycle industry. Packed with cutting-edge technology, the 2018 Zero S travels up to 359 km; more range than any other production electric motorcycle. Perfect for A to B transportation and thrilling on twisty backroads, this naked streetfighter’s instant torque, ease of use and low cost of ownership continues to revolutionize rider views on electric motorcycles.

Available in three configurations:

Zero S ZF7.2 11 kW – A compact 7.2 kWh battery frees up space for a convenient storage compartment and reduces weight by 43 kg, delivering nimble handling. Restricted to 11 kW.

Zero S ZF14.4 11 kW – Step up to the larger 14.4 kWh power pack, and you’ll see double the range. Add a Power Tank to ride even farther. Restricted to 11 kW.

Zero S ZF14.4 – Features the larger 14.4 kWh power pack and unrestricted power for higher sustained top speeds.

UP TO 325 KM IN THE CITY : The Z-Force® Power Tank adds 3.3 kWh of power pack storage capacity to any 2014 or later Zero S or Zero SR. An optional accessory, the Power Tank can be added at any time during or after motorcycle purchase, bringing the maximum battery capacity to 16.3 kWh. With that much energy, you can travel up to 325 km in the city or 163 km on the highway at 113 km/h

UP TO 67 HP (50 KW), 144 NM…AND INCREDIBLY EFFICIENT Zero Motorcycles designed the Z-Force® motor from the ground up to be compact, efficient and powerful. It delivers exhilarating acceleration to a top speed of 164 km/h on the Zero SR. Completely air-cooled, the motor provides a fantastic riding experience, minus the need for any regular maintenance.

GREAT TO LOOK AT. EVEN BETTER TO RIDE. Aircraft-grade aluminum is exclusively used in the construction of the twin spar frame. It is lightweight, strong and one of the main reasons that the motorcycles handle incredibly well. Designed to have a low center of gravity, the motorcycles are highly maneuverable and responsive.

THE MAGIC RIDE Zero worked in close collaboration with Showa to develop suspension systems that provide excellent small bump compliance, predictable control of bigger impacts and exceptionally smooth action under all conditions. Torsional rigidity of the front end improves handling, and a hollow front axle reduces unsprung weight.

POWERFUL. PRECISE. CONTROL. The Zero S and Zero SR feature an advanced Bosch anti-lock brake system (ABS) that improves control in a wide array of conditions and ensures the best braking performance, while a large 320 mm diameter carrier-less rotor increases stopping power.

ROLLING FORWARD. Pirelli tires are standard on the Zero S and Zero SR, providing great traction, excellent durability and road feel. The tires are mounted to stylish and durable cast alloy wheels.

What Zero says…

NEW FOR 2018

Charge at up to 166 kilometers per hour using the 6 kW Charge Tank at Level 2 charging stations, 6x faster than when using standard, Level 1, 220 V outlets.

Travel 10% farther, up to 359 km per charge, courtesy of improved chemistry in the Z-Force® power pack, the highest energy density battery in today’s transportation industry.

Thanks to new gearing, and a higher maximum motor rpm, the compact and lighter weight Zero S ZF7.2 11 kW now offers 11% more rear wheel torque to slingshot ahead of fellow motorists, without giving up any top speed.

The Zero S ZF14.4 powertrain is fine tuned to deliver up to 30% more power and torque at highway speeds to make high-speed passes that much more fun.

Owners can easily realize the benefits of continuous performance advancements by updating their firmware via the latest Zero Motorcycles mobile app.

The race is on in the electric motorcycle market...

THIS year we learned that the Government wants to ban new fossil-fuel-powered vehicles from 2040...

Here's what real owners think…
Ian Pogson from Bromsgrove Motor Cycle Club

I bought my Zero after a visit to the BMCC (Bromsgrove Motor Cycle Club) by Jason and his wife. They brought along a DSR and I was hooked. Sometime later an S was up second-hand in Streetbike, so that was it. I bought it for the daily 66-mile commute to Gaydon from home in Bromsgrove. By using this, it saves me about £6 a day in fuel! The acceleration and effortless performance is addictive and all I do is park it in the garage next to my Guzzi V7, plug it in and go for dinner. Next morning, it is grin-time again. Can just scrape 100 miles riding sensibly, but rarely do that and the commute leaves me with about 15% battery left after some peg-scraping around the Redditch clover-leafs. It's brilliant.
