So how does it work…
The value of your part exchange bike is driven by the industry standard Glass and Cap on-line guides. These are updated on a monthly basis…
All bikes for part exchange are HPI checked by us (What’s a HPI Check ?). This ensures that the bike isn’t stolen, it’s not an insurance write off, hasn’t got outstanding finance, hasn’t had previous plates, the plates match the chassis number, the bike matches the latest DVLA data, doesn’t have any mileage discrepancies, isn’t being sold illegally and doesn’t have a stolen V5 / logbook. Finally, we do a full workshop appraisal to ensure that we have quoted you the correct value…
So, what can you do to max the value of your part exchange?
We always look for low mileage and a full service history first.
Has it got good tyres? Is it good mechanically? What extras have you added?
Fix minor faults and replace missing badges, check the oil level and tyre pressures.
Gather together all related paperwork such as : MOT certificate, service book & V5C.
If you have any old receipts for work done it’s worth bringing those as well
Finally give it a wash – the better it looks the more it’s worth…
